Dexcom System Components
All Dexcom systems have components specific to that system. Receivers, sensors and transmitters for one Dexcom system will not be compatible with another Dexcom system
Dexcom ONE and Dexcom G6
The Dexcom ONE and Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System are made up of three main parts:
Sensor
• A small, disposable device worn on the surface of the skin. Dexcom G6 and Dexcom ONE are approved for wear on the back of the upper arm and in the abdomen, and for ages 2-17 it can also be worn in the upper buttocks • The single use applicator inserts a tiny flexible wire just beneath the skin • The sensor is held securly in place by a pre-attached adhesive patch that sticks to the skin on insertion • Continuously measures glucose levels in the interstitial fluid for up to 10 days.
Transmitter
• A reusable device that clicks into the sensor once the sensor is applied to the skin. • Sends glucose readings wirelessly to your display device every 5 minutes (smartphone* app, Insulin pump† or optional receiver). • The transmitter typically lasts for up to 3 months (90 days) from when it is first activated. • Once the transmitter battery is too low or expired you must replace it. • Spare transmitters must be stored at between 0-45°C and between 10% to 95% relative humidity.

Display Device
• Smartphone* App: Most users will use the Dexcom system on a compatible smartphone* to view their glucose readings, trends, and alerts.
• Optional Receiver: Some users may use a dedicated Dexcom receiver instead of, or alongside, the app. The receiver is a small, portable device that displays your glucose data.

Dexcom ONE+ and Dexcom G7
The Dexcom ONE+ and Dexcom G7 CGM Systems both feature an all-in-one design for easier use. Its main components are:
All-in-One Sensor with Built-in Transmitter
• The sensor and transmitter are combined into a single, disposable unit. • The sensor is preloaded into a single‑use applicator that inserts a small, flexible filament just beneath the skin • The sensor has an adhesive patch pre-attached which adheres to the skin on insertion. • After use, the entire sensor/transmitter unit is disposed of. • Measures glucose for up to 10 days, with a 12-hour grace period at the end to give you flexibility when changing sensors. • Measures glucose every 5 mins and sends to receiving device.

Display Device
• Smartphone* App : Most users will use the Dexcom CGM system with a compatible smartphone* to view their glucose readings, trends, and alerts.
• Optional Receiver: A dedicated medical device (if provided) that displays your glucose data. Not all users will have a receiver.
